Hever Castle in Kent is the childhood home of Anne Boleyn, tragic queen of King Henry VIII. Begun in the 13th century, it was converted into a comfortable Tudor house c.1505.  Now Hever Castle is open to the Public Hever Castle to enjoy the House and Grounds.

This autumn around Hever, the Autumn Colour of the trees is fantastic.

Other noteworthy Castles to visit are Leeds Castle - near Maidstone not to be mistaken with Leeds in Yorkshire!  Bodiam  Castle and Tonbridge Castle.

Besides the Edgcumbe houses there own cave with Bricked up entrance to tunnels deep beneath Tunbridge Wells, which is reputed to have been used the Landed Gentry, in Georgian  times to access places such as the Pantiles.
